We can all rest safe tonight with the knowledge that North Korea's nuclear test may have yielded a blast much smaller than expected, perhaps even as small as the bomb dropped on Hiroshima. With only the potential to kill 70,000 to 80,000 people on contact, obliterate a square mile and burn an additional 4.5 square miles of land, these bombs are nothing to worry about. I mean I thought we were talking about the ability to blow a place like, say, downtown LA to bits, but it looks like the North could only pulverize 80% of the population of Berkeley. And I saved the best news for last: the Russians say that the blast might have been much, much smaller -- the equivalent of 550 tons of TNT! And those silly North Koreans...these days they're spitting and flipping the bird at South Koreans and Americans across the DMZ. This is how they try to provoke us so that they can use their new toy? We have nothing to worry about here. Nothing. Except...maybe...I read something today about North Korea's second in command saying that further U.S. hostility and sanctions would be considered an "act of war" and that "physical measures" would be taken out against the U.S. Those silly North Koreans! What's that supposed to mean?!
