USA and Mexico: July and August 2004
During my second five-week vacation of the school year, I headed home to see my family and friends in Oklahoma and Alabama for a few weeks. My dad and I flew to Auburn, Alabama, and met my mom and sisters there. We had a great visit with my grandma, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Since I wasn't going to be able to make it to my sister's graduation in December 2004, she and I went on a "graduation trip" to Cancun, Mexico, and had a damn good time. Although we had a two hour delay due to the fact that our plane was smoking, we made it to Mexico safe and spent the weekend relaxing on the beach, meeting people at the hotel, hanging out with the ditzy bachelorette party whose suite we were accidentally stuck in, and of course taking in all the sun and rum we wanted.
